MUSIC FOR SOLO SAXOPHONE

Karen came to early prominence as a saxophonist and her catalogue of compositions is still weighted towards that instrument. Many of her pieces have been chosen as examination pieces for the Associated Board and Trinity/Guildhall. These pieces can be ordered via the listed publisher of each composition.

Some comments from people who have played my pieces:

" We have just come back from our annual saxophone summer course that we run (13th time) in Arvika, Sweden and we had over 70 participants on all levels and ages (youngest 12 oldest 77!). Your arrangements have been most useful and appreciated by our students and is superb when you for some reason have to play without bari or want to double on the parts, so a big THANK YOU and keep doing what you are doing!

All the best from Sweden!"

- Neta The Rollin Phones

"I like the music that you made very much. I play the piano and my friend plays the flute. We play songs of "Easy Street". "Sweet dreams" is the song that we like the most. Sometimes we play your music for an audience. Thank you very much for your wonderful music!"

"Our Saxophone Choir just performed your piece, All In Good Time on Saturday, April 9, 2017, for our State Solo and Ensemble Contest.  The kids LOVE it, the Judge Loved it and I love it!!"

- Shannon Dykstra

"My name is Geoffrey Radant and I am the Band Director at San Marcos High School in San Marcos, California in the US.  I wanted to write you and thank you for your excellent compositions that have inspired my students.  At San Marcos High School, I teach a student Saxophone Quintet that absolutely loves playing your music!  The girls, all 14-16 years of age, have been playing "Tango" and "All Because of You" and these pieces are their absolute favorites!    "

TIME TO SING: Dementia Friendly Song Book

This book contains the lyrics to 26 songs we all know and love. To accompany you (on the enclosed CD) is not one but two accordions!

Karen Tweed and I  conceived this project for people with dementia as music and singing has such a positive effect and the words are in large print for ease of reading.

You can also purchase the lead sheets of music to all of these tunes.
